Love
history? Love to meet interesting people? Want to practice your public
speaking/theatrical skills? Join our elite tour guide group and lead visitors
through the museum. Guide groups from school age to seniors. A few more
guides are needed for the houses at 11, 1 and 3 Monday through Saturday.
Training provided. This is your chance to help our visitors learn about
Salem's history - and have fun doing it!
Mission Mill Museum is hopping with activity all year long, from living
history to the Handweavers' Sale, gallery openings, Magic
at the Mill, Sheep to Shawl, Big Band Dances, Speaker Series and
so much more! Be a part of the fun - join us as an events volunteer. We
have chores galore to suit almost every volunteer interest.
Our
volunteer internships are varied and flexible, and many college majors
can be enhanced by spending time at Mission Mill. For starters, we
offer
internships in research/writing, archives/artifacts, marketing, education
and hospitality. Hours and exact duties will be adjusted to suit a
student's
needs. Drama, marketing and business, English, education, history,
archaeology, and even botany majors can find an internship here!
